What to expect in your Mediterranean collection

Please note the plants below cover both sun & shade options – the final plants you receive may vary a little depending on season and availability, but without ever impacting the final result!

Pinus mugo ‘Mops’

This dwarf mountain pine is an evergreen shrub or small tree native to the mountain ranges of Europe. It provides colour and structure all year round and is very handsome as a centrpiece.

Verbena bonariensis Lollipop

This dwarf variety of the classic Verbena creates fluffy sprays of lilac flowers on upright, dark-purple stems above clumps of fern-like, grey-green leaves. Light and airy.

Stipa tenuissima

Sometimes known as ‘Angel Hair’, this elegant grass creates dense tufts of soft- looking, fine leaves that billow in the slightest breeze. Providing year round interest, it’s a reliable and durable grass.

Helianthemum ‘The Bride’

A carpet of leaves & flowers from this elegant rock rose that elegantly fills spaces at a low level. A really reliable and fast-growing little shrub.

Thymus ‘Silver Queen’

A bushy, compact evergreen shrub with a memorable fragrance that makes it a very versatile herb to cook with. Pretty flowers cover it in early summer.

Perovskia ‘Little Spire’

With its aromatic leaves and upright spikes of violet-blue flowers, Russian sage makes a wonderful addition to a Mediterranean garden and is very hardy and durable.

Salvia ‘Viola Klose’

Spires of intense dark violet hooded flowers appear from July to September above clumps of mid-green leaves. This compact form of salvia is perfect for adding a splash of colour at the front of a border.

Carex testacea

Bearing slim arching leaves, which start out olive green and become warm copper-bronze with maturity. This particularly striking grass also creates small, brown flower spikes in summer.

Geranium ‘Johnson’s Blue’

Deep lavender-blue, saucer-shaped flowers appear in early summer among deeply divided, mid-green leaves. A really versatile plant that creates low coverage and colour.

Brunnera ‘Jack Frost’

In early spring, large, mid-green, heart-shaped leaves that look as though they have been dusted with silver appear, followed by tall sprays of tiny, bright blue, flowers. Stunning.

Phillyrea angustifolia

Part of the Olive family, this is a compact evergreen shrub, with narrow, dark green leaves, and small clusters of fragrant off-white flowers in the leaf axils in late spring and early summer.
