What plants to expect in your Spring collection

Please note the plants below cover both sun & shade options – the final plants you receive may vary a little depending on season and availability, but without ever impacting the final result!

Aquilegia vulgaris

A cottage garden classic, with elegant, nodding flowers in shades of purple, pink, and blue in spring. Thrives in sun or partial shade, self-seeding gently for a natural look.

Carex testacea

Bearing slim arching leaves, which start out olive green and become warm copper-bronze with maturity. This particularly striking grass also creates small, brown flower spikes in summer.

Epimedium ‘Warleyense’

Producing up to 30 orange and yellow coloured flowers on each stem, this Spring flowering perennial creates very pretty, semi-evergreen ground cover in a shady spot.

Brunnera ‘Jack Frost’

In early spring, large, mid-green, heart-shaped leaves that look as though they have been dusted with silver appear, followed by tall sprays of tiny, bright blue, flowers. Stunning.

Geranium ‘Samobar’

Small, deep purple-black flowers appear in late spring to early summer held high above soft green, deeply lobed leaves that have disctinctive purple blotches around the centre. Excellent for suppressing weeds.

Tiarella ‘Spring Symphony’

A plant native to damp, woodland of North America - running trails of pretty pointed green leaves form complete evergreen cover. In spring a mass of foaming creamy-white flowers spikes arise.

Baptisia australis

Also known as blue false indigo, this hardy perennial brings spires of deep blue flowers in late spring, followed by decorative seed pods. Drought-tolerant and low-maintenance, it thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, adding a naturalistic, prairie-style feel to borders.

Geranium ‘Bevan’s Variety’

A tough, low-maintenance hardy geranium with deep pink, veined flowers in spring and aromatic foliage. Spreading to form good ground cover, it thrives in sun or shade, making it perfect for borders, underplanting, or filling gaps.

Pulsatilla vulgaris

Also known as the pasqueflower, this early spring bloomer features delicate, nodding purple flowers with golden centres, followed by silky seed heads. Thrives in well-drained soil and full sun.

Pulmonaria ‘Ice Ballet’

A shade-loving perennial with striking white flowers in early spring, contrasting beautifully against silver-speckled green foliage. Loved by pollinators and great for brightening shady borders.

Primula japonica ‘Apple Blossom’

A spring-flowering candelabra primrose with tiers of soft pink flowers fading to white, set above rosettes of lush green foliage. Thrives in moist soil and shade.
